Gourmet Tote is an online retailer that sells best-of-breed insulated food carriers.

The Project:

The Gourmet Tote website was effectively designed and produced by a friend of the company. I was contracted to setup the shopping cart, register and enable online credit card processing, complete DNS transfer, and setup email in one week!

The Results:

With the short deadline, I recommended a hosted e-commerce solution. In my experience, a hosted e-commerce solution compared with out-of-box solutions provides similar shopping cart customization, higher reliability, and much quicker setup.

Yahoo's hosted e-commerce solution was selected and everything was up and running in one week. After the site was up, I worked with Gourmet Tote to make minor modifications to the site, enhance product pictures, and provide training to do basic edits to the site.
